Prayer & Fasting Campaign Ending Child Slavery

  • Prayers of Shelter

Thank you all for praying with Prayer For Freedom to end slavery in our lifetime.  Your prayers are making a difference bringing us all one step closer to ending slavery.

We are focusing on three main areas, to end demand, safe shelter for victims and freedom for those enslaved. Over the past seven years of fighting for freedom and advocating for new laws the demand was always the “unicorn in the room.” Basically, the one area that many lawmakers did not want to go, it was the unattainable. Until recently, when in the US and around the world more people are speaking up for change in the area of demand. And letting law-makers know that addressing the demand is essential.

Another area we are focusing on this week is shelter for human trafficking victims. We are in the United States and many times as we work with victims emergency housing is needed for them but unfortunately the only housing that is homeless teens or domestic violence shelter services.

Shelter:

  • Victims of human trafficking would have a safe place to find healing and restoration.
  • New shelters would open up that could offer a place of hope and safety for the survivors.
  • Survivors would find freedom from fear and shelter in God.

Freedom:

  • Law enforcement would actively find those living in slavery and free them.
  • People trapped in slavery would find freedom, spiritually, mentally and physically.
  • Victims would find ways to escape slavery.

Demand:

  • People buying prostitution, child pornography and child labor would stop.
  • There would be consequences through the laws and law enforcement.
  • For them to choose Christ to change and they would be healed, saved, redeemed and no longer exploit others.

Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.

Galatians 5:1

[ Security of the One Who Trusts in the LORD. ] He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalms  91:1

Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.

James 1:21
